- Guide critical decisions across accelerator physics, beam dynamics, system performance, and technical risk.
- Partner closely with executive leadership to align scientific strategy with product and program execution.
- Translate advanced physics concepts into practical development paths and engineering goals.
- Build, mentor, and inspire a world-class scientific and technical team.
- Engage with external collaborators, research institutions, and advisors to expand the company’s scientific reach.
What You Bring:
- Typically requires a PhD in Physics, Accelerator Science, or a related discipline.
- Deep expertise (10+ years) in high-energy electron accelerators and beam physics.
- A track record of leading complex accelerators or advanced R&D programs.
- Experience taking systems from concept through validation and iteration.
- Ability to operate at both a strategic and hands-on level in a fast-moving environment.
- Strong communicator who can bridge science, engineering, and leadership.
- Experience with novel accelerator architectures or emerging technologies.
- Background in translating accelerator systems into real-world applications.
- Connections within the global accelerator or high-energy physics community.
- Prior experience in a startup or early-stage technology company (preferred).
- Ability to pass a thorough background check.
