What is HPC?

High-Performance Computing (HPC) uses powerful networks of interconnected computers. These networks tackle problems too complex for a single machine to handle. It is essential in fields such as science, engineering, and business. It drives advancements in areas like climate modeling, biomedical research, and financial forecasting. Powering everything from advanced simulations and large-scale modeling to in-depth data analysis, HPC helps turn big ideas into real-world solutions.

In New Mexico, HPC plays a critical role in driving innovation across the state’s growing tech and research ecosystem. HPC supports breakthroughs across various institutions. These include national laboratories, local universities, and startups. It shapes the future of energy, AI, and sustainability. This positioning helps make New Mexico a leader in high-performance computing and emerging technologies.
