You’ve submitted your résumé. Now comes the inbox refreshing. We asked what matters most during the application and interview process, and a human touch took the top spot in this week’s poll.
Among 14 voters, “A human experience” led with 43%, followed by “Clear communication” at 36%. “A fast hiring timeline” received 21%, while “Knowing what to expect” received 0%.

A quick hiring timeline is helpful. Feeling like someone has actually read your application is something many candidates are desperate for. A personal reply or an honest update can give candidates something better to do than interpret radio silence. For New Mexico employers, it’s a useful question: where could your hiring process feel a little more like a conversation?
