Before a job can win you over, it has to interrupt the scroll. We asked what gets people to click on a job posting, and this round, the paycheck got top billing.
Among eight voters, “Salary listed upfront” led with 50%, followed by “The work is interesting” at 25%. “What the company is building” and “Flexibility” each received 13%.

Why It Matters:
There’s something refreshing about knowing whether a role fits your budget before imagining yourself doing it. Interesting work gets attention, too. For employers, that offers a guidance: tell candidates what they could earn and what they’d actually get to work on. “Competitive compensation” leaves a lot to the imagination, and imagination doesn’t pay the electric bill.
